Who: Authors with books in KU.
Purpose: Get more page reads on KU books!
Harness the power of group promotions. We’ll grow our Love Kissed Historical Group and Newsletter to find new readers and encourage page reads. Book reviews will be a bonus. Since these books are provided through KU and aren’t being offered for FREE, we can’t require reviews be posted on Amazon. Readers will have one method of entry, read the book and write a review on the Google form. All reviews will be checked to ensure validity and disqualify those trying to cheat the system.
**Please note: Your book doesn’t need to be FREE. It only needs to be enrolled in KU so anyone who has a KU membership can download it.
Sign up to participate, pick the ONE book you’d like to have promoted by everyone involved. The cost of this promotion is $10. Sign up closes on Wednesday, 12/28. Please remit payment byThursday, 12/29 at 12pm EST. All promotional materials and instructions will be sent that afternoon.
Step 1: Send the invitation to your newsletter subscribers. We’ll create a special list of those involved in the KU Challenge. Participation in the Facebook group isn’t mandatory, but they will be invited. There. Your part is finished. Kick back and relax.
We’ll create the newsletters with links to participating books, along with the Google entry form. A newsletter will be sent weekly as a reminder.
During the promotion, participating authors may post teasers in the Facebook group, schedule a takeover, invite readers to join street teams, and grow social media. If you offer any books for FREE during the month, you may post the links and share in the reader group. Everything about this group should involve FREE books for readers.
On February 1st, we’ll select the winners, and make sure the prizes are sent. The more authors who participate, the better the prize(s). We’ll keep it simple: Kindles and Amazon Gift Cards.
Cost: $10 for one book, $5 to add to the newsletter during the promotion, $5/2 day promotion on one of the sister sites

The plan: All historical romance authors are invited to promote a FREE book. The promotion will run from Sunday, January 8th through Thursday, January 12th. We’re hoping this will lead to additional promotion for you, translate to many sales, new readers, and, if you’re in KDP Select, loads of page reads. If you use Book Funnel or InstaFreebie, this is a great way to grow your newsletter.
Once again, we’re offering the power of group promotion for all our historical romance authors.
What do you need to do? Pick one book to offer for FREE. You have several ways you can do this: use your KU FREE days, have it as permafree, or sign up to provide through InstaFreebie or Book Funnel.
Make sure the book is FREE on Amazon from 1/8-1/12, OR that you provide the link to offer it for FREE from InstaFreebie or Book Funnel.
A few days in advance, we’ll provide a post for you to share on your social media and a template for you to use with your newsletter subscribers, if you’re on Mail Chimp, a build your own with graphics for use with other mail servers. We’ll create and manage the giveaway, which will be Amazon Gift Cards.
Share like crazy from Sunday through Thursday. We’ll be promoting it through all our social media channels too.

Sign up closes on Wednesday, 1/11. Please remit payment by Friday, January 13th at 12pm EST.
The email template, Facebook ready post, and graphics will be sent via the email you provide, and posted in our Historical Book Bargains Group. You’ll be able to use this to create a newsletter to send everyone on your email list on Monday, January 16th and share through all your social media outlets. That’s it. The giveaway will run through January 23rd.
